Life Drawing Masterclass with Denis O'Connor

Life Drawing Masterclass with Denis O'Connor

The Griffith Regional Art Gallery will be hosting a life drawing masterclass with Wagga-based artist Denis O'Connor on Saturday 13th October 2018

Denis will offer insight into approaches and conventions of drawing the human body that have evolved since the Renaissance. Referencing the undraped model, students will explore at their own pace, experience and understanding, the shift from form to line, and touch upon the continuum of ‘forms of representation’.

Dennis has over 30 years’ experience teaching drawing at a number of Universities and Colleges throughout Australia. Denis’s work is generated by the emotive directness of drawing. His work explores through two dimensional works on paper, the piecing together of mental, emotional and physical experiences that survive as fragments in the mind and physical possessions. Dennis holds a PhD in Fine Art and continues to practice and research Australian drawing.

  • Where: Lake Wyangan Lake House, Griffith.
  • When: Saturday 13th October, 10am - 4pm.
  • Cost: $60 per person

Bookings can be made via Eventbrite
