| | Marrum: Marrambidya Galing – A Wiradyuri Water Story at LMAG |
|
| In 2026, works are approaching completion of a significant new permanent exhibition that will be unveiled at Leeton Museum and Art Gallery, exploring Wiradyuri water knowledge from pre-contact times through to contemporary use.
Marrum: Marrambidya Galing (Water: Murrumbidgee River Story) is a powerful journey through place, culture, deep knowledge and modern experience. The exhibition brings together a range of artistic and storytelling forms, including digital film, weaving, painting, sculpture, oral history and interpretive panels to share the enduring relationship between Wiradyuri people and water.
The exhibition was created and curated by Elijah Ingram and Bernard Higgins of Miil Miil Productions. Working closely with other core members of the Leeton Wiradyuri community, including the Leeton and District Local Aboriginal Land Council and Birdyulang Animations.
Supporting partners include Leeton Shire Council, Western Riverina Arts and the Leeton Family and Local Historical Society. The exhibition has received funding support from the NSW Government through Create NSW.
Keep an eye out for further updates and announcements from Leeton Museum and Art Gallery and other social media channels. |

| | Where I was to Where I am |
|
| Where I Was to Where I Am brings together more than 200 photographs taken over time, layered and re-layered to reflect both a physical and mental journey.
This exhibition by Elijah Ingram reflects the way thinking can become crowded or jumbled, with ideas and experiences running into each other. Each photo is beautiful on its own, but when placed together, a different kind of beauty appears: one that is busy, moving, and sometimes messy. It invites visitors to slow down and notice the details.
Where I Was to Where I Am is both personal and open-ended, offering space for reflection on how we remember, how we change, and how meaning can be found not just in clarity, but in the messiness along the way.
On now at Leeton Museum and Art Gallery until 21 March. |

A Common Thread returns to Leeton Museum and Art Gallery as a celebration of connection and thread-based making. Across the gallery, you will find a diverse group of artists and makers, each working with fibre, stitch, textile or wearable forms in their own way.
Some have worked side by side for years. Others join through a single introduction, a shared project or mutual admiration.
Every work sits inside that web of relationships. In this space, visitors can slow down and look closely at what handwork can hold: time, care, humour, play, memory and the satisfaction of building something stitch by stitch.
On now at Leeton Museum and Art Gallery until 20 March. |

Artspace Exhibition – Emergence by Danielle Frank |
|
|
Art has been an essential part of my life since I was very small – a thread through time, carried into my Bachelor of Fine Arts and, for more than a decade, abandoned. This body of work is a re-becoming—a re-Emergence of my true self in mid-life; a journey back to the feminine creatrix and my identity as a modern Australian woman.
It traces my path towards authentic self-expression, as I reclaim womanhood by my own standards. At its core, my recent practice has been an inquiry into connection: to myself, to my artist’s practice, spirit, nature, and community.
Emergence honours my transformation into an empowered woman—enduring, intuitive, and unapologetically whole.

Allis Hamilton: Painting Home – From here to Grandma’s House |
|
| An exhibition of landscape paintings by Riverina-born artist, poet, and musician, Allis Hamilton. Hamilton created this body of work out on the earth in the elements with the ants and birds. She sees her home not as scenery, but as a living breathing being she is intimately a part of.
Through painting this plein air Allis attempts to capture some of the energy and awe she feels towards the hills, trees and soils that have raised her. ‘Grandma’s House’ refers not only to her many grandmothers, but to all the grandmothers, especially those of the grasses, trees, insects, mammals, and birds who call this place home. For more works by Allis Hamilton visit www.thestorytellingtent.com Exhibition dates: February 28 till March 22 2026
Gallery Opening Hours: Wednesday – Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday & Sunday from 11am – 2pm.
