Online Window on the Arts

The website of the newly formed Western Riverina Arts Board is now online.

“The website is fully operational and the local arts community can now use it as a ‘one-stop shop’ for information on the area’s arts,” said Regional Arts Development Officer Derek Motion.

The site can be found at http://www.westrivarts.com.au

“It has news of events, funding when available, and profiles of local artists,” said Mr Motion.

"Hopefully it will become the first place artists in the Western Riverina go when they need information.”

“Local artists can register their details and examples of their work. Or they can subscribe to the bi-monthly ebulletin that has outlines available funding, tips on grant writing, opportunities and competitions, as well as examples of really cool art from all over the world.”

“The website will also have extra information on the Western Riverina Cultural Trail when it is launched early next year."

Derek Motion wants people to get into the site, ‘boots and all’ and see if there are problems or errors to fix.

The site is also linked to the Western Riverina Arts Facebook page, and their Twitter address @westrivarts, both of which also advertise local art stories and news.
