Arts and Cultural Projects Funding - Now Open

A new round of funding for Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Projects 2018/19 is now open.

Open to individual artists, arts and cultural workers, and partnerships and organisations based in NSW, the Arts and Cultural Projects (Round 2) funding supports professional projects at any stage of the creative process. The program is aimed at delivering a more vibrant and accessible arts and cultural sector in New South Wales.

Grants of up to $60,000 are available for projects delivered within 12 months, while projects delivered within 24 months are eligible for up to $75,000. All projects must start after 31 May 2019.

Funding can be used for a variety of opportunities, including (but not limited to): commissioning works from professional artists, activating new arts and cultural spaces, and arts and cultural activities aimed at young people.

First time applicants and applicants from priority groups are strong encouraged to apply. The six priority groups are:

  • Aboriginal people

  • People living and/or working in Western Sydney

  • People living and/or working in regional NSW

  • People from a culturally and linguistically diverse background

  • People with a disability

  • Young people

Create NSW staff are also available to discuss project/activity ideas and how to approach a funding application.

Applications open: Monday 25 February 2019

Applications close: Monday 8 April 2019
