MP admires local Aboriginal Art

On Thursday Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke MP, paid us a visit at the Narrandera Arts Centre, where we have been  showcasing the incredible artworks of Indigenous artists from our very own region for the past two weeks. Following the remarkable success of Murrumbidgee Marra Marra (2016) and Warangesda: Deep Waters (2017), MURRU is the third iteration of our annual Aboriginal Arts project celebrating Wiradjuri culture in partnership with Griffith Regional Art Gallery.

After successfully exhibiting MURRU at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery and at the Narrandera Arts Centre the exhibition will close today. However our annual Aboriginal arts project is an ongoing activity and any local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists interested in working with us in 2019 can get in touch with either Western Riverina Arts RADO Derek Motion or Ray Wholohan at Griffith Regional Art Gallery.
