Walls Can Talk: Iron Lak @ Griffith Regional Art Gallery

Walls Can Talk: Iron Lak @ Griffith Regional Art Gallery

The Walls Can Talk: Iron Lak exhibition opening will occur Friday 29th September from 6pm at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery.

The exhibition is part of My Fest - extreme arts festival and includes 'graffiti' or 'urban art' murals sprayed onto the walls of the gallery by artists Laurie Turner (Tues) and Cooper Crothers (Resmo).

Resmo and Tues are both closely affiliated with Ironlak. Tues is one of the original 5 members of the Ironlak Team that was created in 2006, and is still heavily involved with the company today. Resmo is an emerging artist who followed his dreams and became involved with the company by moving to Brisbane to run the warehouse in 2015. Both artists paint regularly and have a lot left in the tanks to continue to push the boundaries of this artform.

The Exhibition also includes works from the Iron Lak workshops conducted by Resmo and Tues with students from the Clontarf Academy at Griffith High School and the Tirkandi Inaburra Cultural Development Centre Coleambally.

The exhibition is open from the 23rd of September to 15th of October, visit the Griffith Regional Art Gallery website for opening times.
