The well-known Australian free film workshop program, In the Bin, is coming to Griffith in October. They are looking for people interested in learning how to make a film over two days.

Don’t miss this opportunity. In the Bin have run popular and successful programs all across the country proving that anyone can make an interesting short film, if they’re given the skills.

“This is a great opportunity to learn about film making, and could be a place to start a life’s career,” said Regional Arts Development Officer Derek Motion.

“We are looking for people aged 14-24 to participate in these workshops. And it’s free.”

“Excellent! Awesome opportunity you couldn’t miss. I learnt so much and had so much fun at the same time! I never thought I get would get this opportunity, so I appreciate it so dang much!” said student Roma.

Don’t just go and see a film on the weekend, make one! The workshops last two days and they are followed by a public screening.

Their web site http://www.inthebin.net.au/ has good examples of what is possible.

In the Bin will be in Griffith on 23rd-25th October 2011.
