TWO–DAY WORKSHOP
FROM PLAY TO PERFORMANCE
The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with techniques that enrich their expressive potential and enhance their ability to build character and tell stories with clarity and confidence.
Drawing on the teachings and practices of Jacques Lecoq, Théâtre du Soleil and Complicite, the workshop explores fundamental principles of play which help performers and directors generate engaging new work.
Games, structured improvisations and movement training will foster the complicity, listening, and collaborative skills required to propose, conceive and create effectively in any rehearsal or devising process.
‘Immensely enlightening, with a specificity and comprehensive understanding of what is needed for story. It has been invaluable.’ – Lila McGuire | actor | Perth
‘Liberating! A totally creative experience which has broadened my understanding of theatre-making and filled me with ideas and new approaches to work.’ – Caroline Craig | actor | Sydney
