Western Riverina Arts is a not-for-profit (NFP) organisation that works in partnership with our member councils: Narrandera Shire Council, Leeton Shire Council, Griffith City Council and Murrumbidgee Council to develop, support and promote arts and culture in the Western Riverina. We have Charitable and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status and are able to accept tax deductible donations for our organisation and also collect on behalf of community groups and individuals.
We have identified three target areas where we could use your assistance. Your generous donation will help us support the development of artists and arts projects in our region and change a lot of lives.
We understand the lasting impact arts and culture has on its local communities and that many compassionate people place a high value on securing its future. Please get in touch with our Executive Director or Board Chair if you or a loved one would like a meeting to discuss options to honour your legacy in the form of a Personalised Fellowship, a bequest or special request.
Western Riverina Arts is a small NFP organisation. Our core organisational funding consists of contributions from our four member councils and funding from the NSW Government. Our services support the arts in many ways from grant writing assistance, event coordination, promotion, consultation, small business advice, advocacy, developing career pathways, networking and more.
By donating directly to our organisation, you are helping us to build capacity, scale up our services and enable employment growth so we can assist more members of your community. We have a proven record of multiplying funds invested into our organisation several times over. Since 2020 we have brought over $1,350,000 into our local economy.
We appreciate your investment into the future of Western Riverina Arts and your community.
Arts and cultural events help to connect communities, generate jobs and provide a strong sense of place. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, an unprecedented amount of events in the Western Riverina have been cancelled or postponed. Western Riverina Arts presents, organises, partners, sponsors and provides in-kind support to many local and touring events. Your donation can help us with the recovery of these events and ensure the return to a vibrant arts and cultural sector.
When donating to this stream you are able to leave a preference for which Local Government area you wish the funds to go towards.
The Western Riverina Arts Micro Grants are small grants of $300 - $800 with one round per year. These grants support organisations, arts-based businesses, or individuals who may not be eligible for other external funding streams. These small grants make a world of difference to artists and groups in our four Local Government areas, enabling their project to proceed with an immediate cash injection. Micro Grant funds can contribute towards community events or projects, equipment, artist fees, workshops and training, marketing, and operational costs.
To date our Micro Grants have had the following impact:
26 projects funded | 86 participants | 161 attendees | 12 workshops | 3 exhibitions
