Cello Riot

Clare Brassil started playing the cello at the young age of 12 and is now a classically trained orchestral cellist and composer, who creates music under the moniker Cello Riot.

And Cello Riot is definitely breaking the rules with live-looping Bach, music of her own, and some killer covers.

The Wagga musician has performed and recorded for the Melbourne, West Australia, Tasmanian and Sydney Symphony Orchestras and played live with Stars like Kanye West, Barbra Streisand, Katie Noonan and many more.

The professional cellist was also named as one of two recipients of the Regional Art Fellowships for 2015 and awarded $50,000 by the NSW government.

And Claire is more than happy to pass some of her knowledge on. The professional musician gave two interactive workshops in "Looping, Composition and Creative Process", followed by a concert, all presented by Western Riverina Arts.
