Western Riverina Flooding

Western Riverina Flooding

Areas of Narrandera, Murrumbidgee and Griffith are currently under a Watch and Act warning from the SES - meaning that people are advised to not enter floodwater, prepare for the possibility of evacuation, avoid the area and prepare to isolate (may be trapped without power, water, and other essential services and it may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you). Find out more info for your area: www.ses.nsw.gov.au

Western Riverina Arts' Executive Director is currently in one such area where there has been a warning to prepare to isolate, and as such will not be contactable for this week. You can still send enquiries through to our Communications Officer via email or phone.

  • The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera may peak near 8.70 metres during Tuesday, with major flooding.

  • The Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point is likely to exceed the major flood level (7.30 metres) during Wednesday. The river level may reach around 7.60 metres during Friday, with major flooding.

Please stay safe!
