Introduction to Renaissance Art - Narrandera Arts

Narrandera Arts and Creative Network (NACnet) are hosting an introduction to Renaissance Art by Susan Bannister on Saturday 28th July at the Narrandera Bowling Club. 

This talk will explore the period of the Renaissance (meaning rebirth) from 1340 to 1594. It is the golden-age of creativity and art; the epoch of artists such as Bruneleschi, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, Durer, Da Vinci, Vermeer and Titian. With emphasis on the city of Italian city of Florence discover how this town became the "Athens of the Middle Ages". 

The talk will focus on painting and cultural history of the period. Afterwards you are welcome to stay and watch the DVD The Medici - Godfathers of the Renaissance (110 mins long)
