Bush Bailando - Flamenco Workshops @ Griffith Regional Theatre

Bush Bailando - Flamenco Workshops @ Griffith Regional Theatre

Award winning Flamenco artist Pepa Molina started dancing when she was 9 years old and now runs one of the leading contemporary Flamenco dance companies world wide. The Australian dancer with Andalusian heritage has toured main theatre circuits in Spain, International music & dance festivals as well as Flamenco festivals across Europe, America and Asia.

Pepa Molina and her Flamenco dance company ‘Compañía Pepa Molina’ will visit Griffith Regional Theatre on SATURDAY 20 OCTOBER and show the locals how it’s done. A 60 minute workshop shedding light on the art of Flamenco, combining theory and hands on learning will be held at the theatre at 11 am. Students will learn fundamental flamenco dance techniques such as Footwork, upper body movements, clapping to different Flamenco rhythms and have a go with the castanets. Tickets are $10 and booking is necessary. And if you just can’t get enough simply visit Compania Pepa Molina’s show Bush Bailando starting at 7.30 pm at the theatre. Pepa Molina’s newest Flamenco show interlaces four genres from the flamenco song family tree, linking them to the four elements; water, wind, earth and fire, in an exploration of bilateral heritage and identity, inspired by Australian nature. Buy Tickets
