LATEST NEWS
Regional Arts NSW Farewells Elizabeth Rogers

It was recently announced that after 15 years with Regional Arts NSW, CEO Elizabeth Rogers is moving on to take up the position of CEO with Canberra Glassworks.

Western Riverina Arts Executive Directer Aanya Whitehead notes the impact Elizabeth had during her first year in the role: "Elizabeth Roger's attention and support to my appointment as Executive Director to Western Riverina Arts at the start of 2020 was invaluable to working through the role and expectations of servicing regional arts in our area.  Her genuine care and passion for making arts accessible and available to regional communities was substantial.  Elizabeth's decades of corporate knowledge in the arts matched with her talent to guide, advise and support the self-determination of culture in regional communities was critical in her role with RANSW.  Here she helped to maintain a strong supporting organisation that serviced the RADO's in many ways, including as a unified voice to Government.  Impressively, Elizabeth has travelled NSW widely, and is deeply familiar with communities across the state, including WRA's four LGA members of Griffith, Leeton, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera.  As the CEO she made herself available to us anytime of the day or night when a real need arose.  I feel fortunate to have come to know her through this role; her talent, history and experience are impressive and I so look forward to seeing her thrive in her new position in Canberra."

The staff and board of Western Riverina Arts wish to thank Elizabeth for her contributions and commitment to the Regional Arts sector. It has been a pleasure to work with Elizabeth and we wish her all the best in her new role.
