Twined and coiled basketry is one of the oldest techniques known having been passed down from many generations of women weavers.
Firstly you will learn what material is suitable and how to forage for them in your local environment. You will also learn how to prepare and dye these materials using Eucalyptus leaves, bark etc. and will explore traditional stitches including the coiling technique. All materials supplied.
